Variety is the spice of life
Sure this is an old saying but it's true. And it's a philosophy that we at Radio Record Hop follow as well.
Whether we're playing for a wedding with a wide age group, or we're playing for a group of high schoolers, we don't just play one style of music all night long. We mix it up.
We believe in variety on many levels. Tempo allows us to keep dancers on the floor for an extended period of time. For instance, most people can't dance to more than two or three fast songs in a row. That's why we follow up a set of fast songs with one or two slow songs. This allows dancers to stay on the floor longer.
In addition, we will switch between styles or genres of music. We will play new, Top 40 songs and follow that up with Country. We also mix in some Oldies and maybe even some Big Band or Swing music. No matter what the age group, people like a variety. And each of these various music styles will feature both up tempo as well as slow songs.
The volume level is another way of varying the music. Slow songs can be played somewhat softer than a hard-hitting rock tune. Typically, we start the evening at a lower volume level than at the end of the evening. Throughout the night, we gradually build up the volume and the intensity of the music. Again, we mix it up to spice up the variety for the guests that are dancing.
So, for a wide variety of music for dancing, you will enjoy the performance by the professional DJ's from Radio Record Hop. Find out more about Southeast Wisconsin's finest and most affordable portable music show. Visit our website at www.radiorecordhop.com.
